Digital Cave Media specializes in film and video production and digital post production including off-line, on-line editorial, 2D motion graphic design, uncompressed HD, 2K finishing and color grading.

Maxx Digital Mobile Rocket in House

The new year has brought us a new gift! We just received the first Mobile Rocket from Maxx Digital of Huntington Beach, CA. The mobile rocket has given us the ability to bring the Red Rocket on set using a laptop and one of our grading monitors playback .r3ds realtime and through rocketcine and apply one-light passes before the transcode. Just having the ability to set the one-lights to all the reels on set with the DP supervising is absolutely amazing!!

I'm excited to announce Digital Cave has acquired a CACHE-A LTO-4A machine for all your long term archival needs. Not only are the archival cost modest, but you can recycle all those external drives you have on the shelf. The LTO-4A is indexable, so we can hold onto your archive tapes, and anytime you need access we can FTP your files or load them onto a external for you.

While principal photography took place in Baltimore we took the helm managing and coordinating RED .R3d negatives between production and post - production. Along with DIT and content management onset we provided transcoded footage and dailies to post.

C47 Week Two

Production for the pilot C47 has wrapped week two.

This week was a very ambitious week, and ambitious might be an understatement! Between week one and two art department and construction swooped into the warehouse to build and dress the "Marketplace" that would accommodate 100 extras plus principal cast. Along with marketplace three other sets were built for second week production.
